Leander Lehmann

Master student (autumn/2023)

Leander is currently studying in the master of Life Science at Leibniz University Hanover (Germany). He joins the Mateus lab and the Renner lab for the autumn semester of 2023 to study a transcription regulator of an efflux pump in a human gut microbiome species.


Djenna Dalencourt

Master student

Djenna obtained her bachelor in life and health sciences specializing in Biochemistry, Physiology and Neurobiology from University of Nice Côte d’Azur (France). She is currently enrolled in a master in Physiopathology and Pharmacology at University of Nice Côte d’Azur.  She joins the Mateus lab for the autumn semester of 2023 to optimize conditions for performing thermal proteome profiling (TPP) in human gut microbiome species.


Paula Lambeck

Master student

Paula studied Biomedicine at the University of Würzburg (Germany). She joins the Mateus lab for the spring of 2024 to study growth interactions in species of the human gut microbiome.


Johanna Willner

Exchange student

Johanna studied biology at Georg-August-Universität Göttingen (Germany). She joins the Mateus lab during the summer of 2024 to study how drugs affect the proteome of species of the human gut microbiome.


Cristina Mitroi

Master student

Cristina studied Biology at the University of Alcalá de Henares (Spain) and is currently enrolled in the Master’s in Molecular Biology at Umeå University. She joins the Mateus lab for the autumn of 2024 to study how species of the human gut microbiome metabolize complex carbohydrates.


Lieke van den Bos

Bachelor student

Lieke is enrolled in the Bachelor in Life Science with a major in Molecular Biology at Umeå University. She joins the Mateus lab for the spring of 2025 to study protein O-glycosylation in Bacteroidota species.
