We are extremely grateful for the support from the Knut and Alice Wallenberg Foundation by selecting our project to the Wallenberg Academy Fellows grant! In this project, we aim at looking at Archaeal species of our gut microbiome, a group of organisms that has been largely overlooked. We will apply proteomics-based approaches to reveal protein function and hope that we can provide insight into the role of these species for human health.
